Born
in Zouk Mikael in 1908, he studied in the Marists' School in Jounieh and then
in St. Joseph College in Aintoura. He majored in Law at Saint Joseph University
but got soon engaged in politics.
He was elected Member of Parliament in 1957 (deputy of Keserwan) and reelected
in 1960, 1964 and 1968. Continuous opposition marked his parliamentary and political
life, and he played an important role in the Chamber of Deputies, where he was
elected twice Deputy Speaker of Parliament.
A brilliant lawyer, he handled several Arabic cases in French Court and participated
in the activities of the Lebanese Lawyers' Syndicate. He received several American,
French, Chinese and Arabic decorations and honors, including the title of "Grand
Officier de la Légion d'honneur". Boueiz died on August 1st, 1990.
